This trendline connects the September lows and has supported the entire breakout rally to 87K.

    Anchors: 2026-09-16 @ 75,151.00 → 2026-09-18 @ 76,205.00

Bitcoin has entered a consolidation phase after a powerful rally from the mid-70K range to a 20-day high of 87,330 on September 22. The most significant structural feature on the chart is the rising support trendline connecting the September 16 low at 75,151 and the September 18 low at 76,205. This line has provided a reliable floor during the recent advance, and price currently trades well above it near 84,720. The trendline's steep angle reflects the velocity of the breakout that began on September 18, when Bitcoin surged more than 5,000 points in a single session.

The 5-day moving average at 84,321 has crossed above the 20-day at 80,553, confirming short-term bullish momentum. However, the RSI at 69.86 sits just below overbought territory, suggesting limited immediate upside without a period of digestion or pullback. The ATR of 2,517 points highlights elevated volatility, typical of breakout environments but also a reminder that swings can be sharp in either direction.

Key resistance now sits at the September 22 high of 87,330. A decisive close above that level would reopen the path toward 90K and beyond. On the downside, horizontal support clusters around 83,600, roughly where the market paused on September 23 and 26. A break below 83,600 would shift the near-term bias neutral and open the door to a retest of the breakout zone near 81,000.

Given the post-breakout consolidation pattern and the elevated RSI, a hold stance is appropriate. Traders already long can maintain positions with a stop-loss below 82,900 to protect against a deeper pullback. New entries are best reserved for either a successful retest of 83,600 support or a breakout above 87,330 with expanding volume. The call is invalidated if Bitcoin closes below 82,900, which would signal that the breakout momentum has stalled and a larger correction may be underway.
