Consolidation after sharp recovery-
Support Rising support from June lows
This trendline connects the June 25 and July 14 swing lows and has guided the recovery from 1.1325, with multiple successful retests confirming demand.
Anchors: 2026-06-25 @ 1.1354 → 2026-07-14 @ 1.1384
EUR/USD has carved out a consolidation pattern following a sharp recovery from the 1.1325 low printed on June 24. The pair plunged nearly 300 pips from the mid-June peak at 1.1622, then found buyers in the 1.1325–1.1354 zone and has since climbed back above 1.1400. A rising support trendline connecting the June 25 and July 14 swing lows at 1.1354 and 1.1384 respectively captures this recovery structure; price has respected this line through multiple retests, most recently on July 13–14, confirming that demand remains intact on dips.
Above current levels, resistance clusters tightly between 1.1470 and 1.1478, marked by the July 16 high and the 20-day range ceiling. The pair tested this zone on July 16 but closed modestly lower at 1.1470, and yesterday's session printed a narrow inside bar at 1.1448, down 0.19 percent. The five-day moving average at 1.1426 has crossed above the 20-day at 1.1414, a minor bullish signal, yet RSI sits at 58—neither overbought nor oversold—and ATR at 0.0055 suggests volatility remains subdued. In short, the market is coiling rather than trending.
Primary support lies at 1.1380, the July 13 swing low and the anchor of our rising trendline. A sustained break below that level would reopen the path toward 1.1325 and negate the recovery thesis. On the upside, a daily close above 1.1478 would complete a higher high and likely trigger a test of 1.1500–1.1520. Until one of those thresholds gives way, the prudent stance is to hold and wait for confirmation. Traders looking to enter long might consider 1.1448 as a reference, with a stop beneath 1.1350 to guard against a deeper pullback, and an initial target at 1.1500. The setup favours patience: let the breakout—or breakdown—come to you rather than chasing inside this narrow range.
